Starboard 2024 GO Starlite - One for All – Transition Freeride Board
Starboard Go is an iconic progressive freeride board – ideal for transitioning from daggerboard oriented boards to non-daggerboard model– short boards. 5 new shapes incorporate evenly distributed volume, large padded deck area and multiple strap positions to help ensure comfort and confidence to riders when moving around and engaging sail and body positioning to achieve successful planing and footstrap use. The boards bottom shape has a long flat section to facilitate passive planing and glide through lulls. Refined rail and tail shapes of the Go helps riders with initiating carves and planing through their jibes. For riders not ready for rear fin only performance – the Go features a Center Fin Box to use an optional center fin when improved upwind and stability are needed. These new Go models feature the most advanced shapes in Starboard 23 year Go series history. new sizes and an all-new Starlite construction.

Performance Design Details per size:
- 132 inherits the successful shapes of our Carve 129, with long flat sections getting them planing super early, super easily and keeping them planing efficiently through wind lulls.
- 142 inherits the shape of the 139 Carve. Similar to the 132, long flat sections get it planing early, easily and efficiently through wind lulls.
- 152 is the larger version of the 142. A short, compact shape enhances control while planing up quicker and easier thanks to the extended-flat rocker-line concept.
- 162 derives from our 159 Carve, which not only allows for smooth gliding in non planing conditions, but also has taken effortless planing and smooth jibing to the next level.
- 172 inherits it's shape from the Carve 169, which is the best large freeride board we have made. It offers plenty of volume for great stability in light winds, yet when you get planing you will be surprised by a free and smooth.

Construction:
StarLite Technology - an ideal choice that mixes perfectly performance, the durability of a tank and affordability all in one. Along the bottom of the board, ahead of the fin box, this section of the skin is stretched, compressed and twisted while the board travels at speed over chop. Because Australian pine is uni-directional, rigid and 0.6mm thick, it is the ideal material to help maintain a rigid hull shape. Continuous bi-axial glass fibers instead of chopped, multi-directional short strand glass fibers. Each fiber works continuously along its uninterrupted length to provide stiffness. It’s like comparing spaghetti to macaroni: straight spaghetti strands are more effective at making a board stiff. Orientated at 45 degrees, Starlite boards are stiff but still flex and reflex: for performance with comfort. CEPS Core – Shear resistant, fused and molded individually to fit every Starboard = highest strength and lightest weight and Zero EPS waste.
