Duotone Eagle 2024 – It’s all about gliding and jibing in a short time.
The new Duotone Eagle was designed to focus on rapid success and skill development for early planing and jibing success. This passive planing board model rewards riders with easing up on a plane with minimal rider input. This is due to a longer board outline that is less demanding to release the board on a plane vs shorter design options within the Duotone brand. It is perfect for intermediate riders wishing to transition to short boards (without daggerboard or center fins) and develop their skills in planing, footstrap use, jibing and planing jibe success. It was designed specifically to address early planing, intuitive jibe and maximum wind range and control in even choppy water conditions. There is no other board that allows you to experience the feeling of gliding in as short a time as the EAGLE. The Eagle encompasses the Volume yet Control Concept. The slightly longer and therefore less round outline allows Duotone to increase the volume by up to 30 liters compared to rounder boards without losing control. This additional volume results in a much safer, more predictable and relaxed riding position, especially in low power or pre-plane sessions. This leads to an unbeatable wide range of applications with 2 important advantages; 1) It prevents the board from turning unnecessarily into the wind, which means the Eagle almost automatically switches to planing. 2) It prevents the board from rocking even with a rough chop, which becomes a problem with rounder boards. The maneuver-oriented rail shape allows for effortless and predictable jibing as the thin rails require less pressure to initiate the turn. If you’re windsurfing experiences are at the point where you and can maintain upwind positions (w/o daggerboard or center fins.  The Eagle is great for next step - developing short boarder skills. In addition to gliding, jibing is the EAGLE's second strength. But it's not just made for learning the (power) jibe, it even accompanies you all the way to freerace heating and laydown jibing. But even for advanced riders, the EAGLE is anything but a boring board. It almost feels like a longer version of the BLAST as it has a very similar scoop rocker line.
Outline = the slightly longer and therefore slightly straighter outline prevents the board from rockin in choppy conditions and improves passive gliding. This also allows for an increase in volume, resulting in a much safer, more predictable and relaxed riding position.
Edge Shape = medium edge diameter in the bow and center areas offers an ideal mix of performance and maneuverability. Thinned ergonomic edges towards the stern for a higher success rate when jibing.
Bottom shaping = Progressive double concave V front and rear: Ideal compromise between performance, maneuverability and control +plus comfort in very choppy conditions.
Rocker Line = Straighter rocker between the loops for better passive planing, more stability and easier jibing and tacking.

Epoxy Sandwich Technology: Durable, affordable sandwich construction for everyday use. Duotone exclusive super-light EPS core is covered with a 70% woodsandwich. Additional glass reinforcements around critical impact zones ensure structural integrity. A thick, durable outer skin gives the hull maximum strength and also makes it resistant to shock and impacts.
