Chinook Pro-1 Alloy Boom – 29 mm T9 Performance - new boom grip.

The Pro-1 Alloy features T-9 alloy for max stiffness to reduced weight ratios. The boom grips are 29mm diameter tubing throughout on 135-165 sizes and 29mm Taper tubing on 185-225 sizing. The booms use 62cm tail that is ultra stiff and allows for straighter boom body tubing. A new Forged Rear End with loop-n-go outhual block has been integrated into the new 135-165 size booms. It features a quick and central sail position ideal for wave, bump-n-jump small freeride type sails. The 185-225 size booms feature an anodize aluminum rear with a built in pulley systems – to accommodate the In-flight outhaul system desirable for large sail and race sail use. Both 165 and below sizes have Twin pin hinged composite collars that are easily opened and adjusted with one hand. The 185+ sizes feature Twin pin stainless steel vertical slide adjustment collars. Both designs have articulating boom heads that accommodate RDM and SDM masts. The 185 sizes have a larger bearing surface area clamp-on that will aid stiffness at mast contact – to improve large boom / sail performance. The Pro-1 alloy booms feature a nice boom grip with harnessline index markings. These are beautiful well designed booms that are loaded with features for performance!
