STX iwindsurf 280 RS Inflatable board – Targets windsurf use for a wide range of ability riders.
This STX iWindsurf inflatable 280L is a perfect beginner to advancing intermediate and family board that's packable and easily transportable. Loaded with features – it's very capable of accommodation skill progression and delivering lots of windsurfing excitement. The Freeride 280 has both a center removable dagger fin (midsection of board), and twin rear fins – making it ideal for shallow water and very capable in up-wind sailing abilities. It has 280 liters of volume in a 85 cm wide body – that allows for a wide range of rider weights and provides tremendous stability for uphauling your rig/ sail. This inflatable also features a Railsaver, a rubberized hard edge rail for a clean release the water and allow planing capabilities and more control in maneuvers and jibes. The Twin fin back fins create great upwind characteristics and track the board as on rails. The hard rails in the rear half of the board creating less drag and easy water release. New and improved Windsurf baseplate insert - for attaching the windsurf rig to board - provides additional reinforcement in this critical attachment point. A set of 4 footstraps are provided to allow for rider progression to advancing / intermediate stages for planing and carving stages of skill development.

This new rig comes complete with a choice of sail size and all necessary rigging. It's Compact design fits in a nice storage / travel bag when disassembled. When fully assembled it provides nice power in it's relative compact shape. Soft center of sail helps developing windsurfers feel the wind more and visibly see the sail billowing out when trimmed correctly. The sails 4 batten profile assists in the sails range and stability - while also Designed for windsurfing and windsup use. The Evolve features a single rig with all components packed in one backpack. The 5-piece rdm epoxy mast and fully collapsible 6-piece boom make it all fit into a compact bag which fits in any car trunk.
