STX iwindsurf RS Inflatable board – Targets windsurf use for a wide range of ability riders.
STX iWindsurf inflatables are perfect beginner to advancing intermediate and family boards that pack into a backpack for easy transport and storage. Loaded with features – these boards are very capable of accommodating skill progression and delivering lots of windsurfing excitement. Both the 280 and 285 feature a center removable dagger fin (midsection of board), and twin rear fins (280) – making them ideal for shallow water and very capable in up-wind sailing abilities. The 280 has 280 liters of volume in a 85 cm wide body – that allows for a wide range of rider weights and provides tremendous stability for uphauling your rig/ sail. The 285 is 95 cm wide with 330 liters of volume and is suited to riders weighing 200+ pounds or those seeking greater stability when learning. The 285 has a center fin and a rear fin, as well as two removable side thrusters. The iWindsurf RS models all feature a Railsaver, a rubberized hard edge rail for a clean release the water and allow planing capabilities and more control in maneuvers and jibes. The hard rails in the rear half of the board create less drag and easy water release for faster speeds and early planing capabilities. The Railsavers also provide additional grip when learning to jibe (with center mid fin removed). These STX models are built with Fusion technology – for a stiff, strong and lightweight board construction. New and improved Windsurf baseplate insert - for attaching the windsurf rig to board - provides additional reinforcement in this critical attachment point. A set of 4 footstraps are provided to allow for rider progression to advancing / intermediate stages for planing and carving stages of skill development.

Your STX board is one of the stiffest boards on the market. PSI = Although we recommend 15 PSI, every single FXL made board can be inflated beyond 20 PSI. Again another advantage of our FXL technology.
STRENGTH = Tensile strength test show a 50% improvement on Fusion DL. Tearing strength shows even a 100% increase on Fusion DL.
